WHAT IS PHENO SWITCH?

The concept for Pheno Switch began with our cultivation team (who refer to it internally as “Freaky Friday”). The idea is simple: two phenotypes of the same strain temporarily switch places on our menu. The goal? Our growers want to share not only the subtle differences between phenotypes, but also how product format itself shapes the way each pheno expresses its personality.

THE PHENOS

When Grape Crepe was first evaluated as flower, Grape Crepe #61 emerged as the clear Premium Flower selection. Calm, relaxing, and true to grape, it was a classic expression of the strain’s genetics. Grape Crepe #20 followed closely behind – slightly more gassy, but still unmistakably grape-forward.

When we shifted our focus to solventless extracts, something interesting happened: the roles reversed. In Live Hash Rosin form, Grape Crepe #20 revealed intense, syrupy grape flavors that made it the ideal solventless candidate. #61, while close behind, took on an entirely different character – a vibrant, tropical pineapple interpretation of grape that only emerged in its solventless expression.

So here’s the twist. For a limited time, Grape Crepe #20’s fuel-forward fruitiness will be available as Premium Flower, while Grape Crepe #61’s tropical grape profile will be released as Live Hash Rosin. Though nuanced, the Pheno Switch project offers something to deep-diving cannabis enthusiasts and casual consumers alike – two excellent phenotypes in two new products that express the incredible variety contained in a single strain.
